The caviar of the North Sea
Like three unleashed toddlers, our Ostend top chefs took to the fishing nets. Dressed in bright yellow jackets, their famous khaki water trousers (with attached rubber boots) pulled up high. We sent Michiel Rabaey of STORM, Luc Deklerck of Bistro Mathilda, and Tom Vanhaecke of Le Bassin out to sea in search of ocean-fresh shrimp and crabs. Chefs will be chefs, so they immediately got out the pots and the gas stove to cook the catch on the beach.
